Against The Dying of The Light
"Rage Against The Dying of The Light"
A tribute to Thomas Dylan's - "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" through contemporary motion illustrations that refer to the problem of the existential crisis, this work takes the essence of the poem about the urgency to survive, That the purpose of fighting against death is to realize the importance of being alive. The poet believes that goodness comes from fighting against death with full force and might, and being brave to face death / adversity itself is a must. The female figure floating between the two Gapuras (ancient Javanese gates) symbolizes an effort to remain in an ideal and proper life (the gate is a symbol of entering time and place of prosperity).
